This protein fruit dip elevates just about anything with extra nutrition. If your children have difficulty downing protein in other forms, they might find this version (mixed with their favorite fruit) more tolerable.

What’s So Good About This Healthy Fruit Dip

Why is this healthy fruit dip so good?

First of all, it is based on wonderful Greek yogurt. According to Healthline,

“A 7-ounce (200-gram) serving of Greek yogurt provides 20 grams of protein, which makes it a high protein food. In addition to protein, Greek yogurt is rich in essential vitamins and minerals including B12, selenium, and zinc — all of which play important roles in supporting your health.”

Second, it uses no refined sugar. Instead, the natural sweetness of maple syrup enhances this dip.

And while maple syrup is still a sugar, it is lower on the glycemic index than white sugar, meaning that the sugar content processes more slowly (WebMD).

This is why we use a small amount of sweetener in this recipe and eliminate all other sources of sugar by choosing unsweetened, unflavored protein powder and unsweetened Greek yogurt.
